FAQ for Clift website

  • What facilities does the kitchen have?

Pavilion: Oven, fridge, microwave,  dishwasher, hot water urn, cutlery, cups plates…

Brocas: Fridge, microwave, kettle

For both halls you should bring washing up sponge/cloth, detergent and dishtowels and cloths for wiping down surfaces

  • How do I gain access?

Prior to your booking you will receive an e-mail with a PDF attached giving instructions for accessing the building using the keyboxes on-site.

If there are any difficulties on the day call the emergency contact number displayed on the small noticeboards to the left of building entrances.

  • Can I set up the day before?

You have access for the length of hire, therefore if you need to set up the day before you need to hire the hall for that time also

  • Can I have a BBQ?

Yes, but you must inform the Trustees first and observe safety procedures

  • Can I have sole access to the field?

No, the Meadow is a public space

  • Can we have alcohol?

Yes, but you cannot sell alcohol as this would need a special licence

  • I have a high vehicle – can I have the car park gate opened?

Be this for yourself or for a delivery (e.g.bouncy castles) please state at time of booking and you will receive instructions for opening the height restriction as requires

  • How do I arrange payment?

When you make your booking either online by email or telephone we will send an invoice for payment, usually by email

  • What method of payments can you accept?

Preferably BACS although Cheques or Cash can be accepted

  • Is there a minimum hire charge?

Minimum party booking is half a day, please see the party booking section of the Tarriff (link to page)

  • Which building has the biggest rooms?

Both buildings are pretty much the same size, however, the Pavilion has a larger Kitchen and more toilet facilities and Brocas has a higher ceiling and larger doors.

  • What are the room dimensions?

Pavilion: 14.5 x 6.1 metres (2.6m high)

Brocas: 11.7 x 5.8 metres (3.6m high)

  • What is the capacity of each building?

Each building can hold approximately 50 people. Both buildings have tables and chairs

  • Any music equipment?

Pavilion has a speaker system, you need a 3.5mm jack or 2x phono cable to connect

Brocas has no system

  • Wifi?

Yes, both halls have free wi-fi, no password needed just connect to “Clift Meadow Wi-Fi” We have a 40Mbps internet connection.
